Great MN Schools
Our partnership with Great MN Schools lead to the creation of Minnesota Standards Family Guides.
We worked with Great MN Schools to develop guides to state learning standards to assist families in understanding understand what their child should understand at every grade level.
Visit Their SiteFor the design of these guides we wanted something that was playful. We utilized different colors, characters, and visual cues for the different grade levels. The colors are those of Great MN Schools and each color corresponds with a grade level. We also used the monsters’ features, as well as segmented sections of colors on each booklet’s spine, to give additional visual cues.
For the characters that we created, we were partially inspired by a cartoon we once watched. These characters are meant to evoke something playful and friendly. Through the characters and other visuals we hoped to make the guides more engaging for families.
