SIGBI X BR Poster: Miss Major

Celebrate the legacy of queer liberation with the SIGBI x Blackbird Revolt Poster Collection.

Featuring the powerful quote, “I don’t need their permission to exist; I exist in spite of them,” this 11″ × 17″ art print honors Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a Black trans elder, organizer, and pioneering force in the movement for trans liberation. A survivor of the Stonewall Uprising and decades of state violence, Miss Major dedicated her life to ensuring that Black trans women, unhoused people, sex workers, and gender non-conforming communities had access to the safety, dignity, and care they deserved. From founding Angels of Care during the AIDS crisis to creating House of gg, a sanctuary for Black trans and gender non-conforming people in the South, her legacy reminds us that liberation is built through radical love, mutual care, and protecting those our systems have too often abandoned.
