OutFront Minnesota: Brand Expansion

We had the fortune of working with OutFront Minnesota on a brand expansion project. OutFront already arrived with an existing logo and an established brand. We worked with them to craft subtle changes to the brand and to create cohesion amongst the visual elements.

About the Organization

OutFront Minnesota, an organization established in 1987, advocates for LGBTQ+ justice and equity. Throughout its 36-year history, the organization has remained committed to its values of liberation and intersectional justice. Their goal is to achieve full equality under the law and complete equity in practice.

Noteworthy accomplishments include the successful passage of a statewide nondiscrimination law in 1993. This law was groundbreaking as it provided protections for sexual orientation and gender identity, making it the first of its kind to safeguard the rights of transgender community members. Additionally, they played a significant role in securing marriage equality. They defeated an anti-marriage amendment through a ballot initiative and achieved the legalization of same-sex marriage via legislative action in 2013.

Ensuring safe and supportive environments for children has also been a priority for OutFront Minnesota. They spearheaded the enactment of the Safe and Supportive Schools Act in 2014 and the Trans Toolkit in 2017, both of which contribute to creating nurturing educational settings for young individuals.

In the year 2023, they achieved further milestones in their advocacy efforts. They successfully passed both the Conversion Therapy Ban and the Trans Refuge Bill, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to protecting the rights and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community.

Despite their achievements, OutFront Minnesota acknowledges that the fight for LGBTQ+ rights is far from over. They emphasize the continued need for support from their dedicated followers and supporters.
