We had fun branding this year’s MLK Tribute Events which we themed, Birth of a New Nation, titled from a 1957 speech given by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In his speech, Dr. King referenced Ghana’s battle against colonialism and the creation a new community through the results of nonviolence. King states “The aftermath of nonviolence is the creation of the beloved community. The aftermath of nonviolence is redemption. The aftermath of nonviolence is reconciliation. The aftermath of violence is emptiness and bitterness.”
We used the theme as inspiration for the poster design, social media posts, postcards, t-shirt, letterhead, and a variety of presentations and programs.
