About the Project
We partnered with Hennepin County to create a community-engaged story-telling campaign to decrease these disparities and create accessible opportunities for Black and Indigenous women to prevent and receive care for heart health issues. We are particularly interested in this campaign to look at the issue through a health and racial equity lens. This initiative’s overarching goals are to prevent chronic disease and promote community well-being.
We crafted visuals that highlighted community members and their stories through print, digital, bus, billboards, and video.
Addressing Heart Health Issues in Black & Indigenous Women in Hennepin County
This project is designed to help advance equity on this issue by linking women who are at risk to culturally informed prevention, support, and treatment resources. Our gratitude goes out to the incredible women who participated in our community engagement sessions and interviews. Their hearts beat for generations.
