About The Soil and the Story
The Soil and the Story is a project and exhibition that leverages storytelling to underscore the history and stories of Black farmers in the Black Belt. Through a compelling narrative, the project educates and inspires individuals to reflect and foster a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness between soil, race, and the history that ties Black folks to farming.

For The Soil and the Story, our focus was on creating an immersive and captivating exhibition experience. Through thoughtful spatial design, engaging narratives, and curated visual elements, we transformed their story into a visual journey. The exhibition design aimed to evoke emotions, provoke thought, and leave a lasting impression on visitors.
