Remote – Position based in Minneapolis/St. Paul

32 hours/week, 4-Day work week Monday-Thursday (weekends required on occasion)

Position Summary

This role is responsible for managing and coordinating the team’s design projects. They will collaborate heavily with the creative team and meet the needs of our community partners and clients. This role requires excellent organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to manage various projects simultaneously. The person in this role must ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope & budget, and to the highest quality possible.


  • Manages the timelines and overall process for graphic design projects.
  • Processes incoming graphic design project requests to estimate the time and resources needed to complete the inquiry.
  • Communicates and meets with the Creative Director to effectively understand and deliver on the strategy and requirements for each graphic design project.
  • Proactively supports designers and collaborates with them to help achieve project goals.
  • Maintains and manages the design and print production budgets under the leadership of the Creative Director.
  • Manages the feedback loop between designers, clients, Business Manager, and Creative Director to drive for final approval of deliverables.
  • Maintains constant knowledge of status, priority, and next steps for all designs and projects.
  • Works in project management software, Asana, to track, manage, and update projects.
  • Attend all relevant meetings.
  • Manage and update client information and files.
  • Maintains weekly (or regular) contact with clients.

Required Qualifications

  • Commitment to abolition, justice, and liberation.
  • Experience working collaboratively with Black, Indigenous, and people of color groups, organizations, or individuals.
  • Experience in managing projects.
  • Excellent communication and administration skills.
  • Ability to articulate and justify the creative team’s choices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and give/receive direct feedback.
  • Experience using Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Creative and open to new ideas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Asana, Monday, or other project management software or CRMs.
  • Understands the creative process and what graphic designers need to be successful.
  • Some experience with industry-standard software (Adobe Creative Suite).
